Drummer and 2012 alum Jack Mudd is performing on the Today Show tomorrow Jan. 31 with Kathie Lee & Hoda. Mudd has been drumming for two years for 14-year-old Tegan Marie who is the youngest female singer in 45 years to be signed to a major label.
Marie, Mudd and the rest of the band have opened for country artists like Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett and most recently Dierks Bentley.
“I have been blessed to use my God given gifts on such a big platform,” Mudd said. “These last couple of years with Tegan have been just growth.”
Marie just released her single ‘Keep It Lit” on Jan. 19 and has already received almost one million views on YouTube.
“She is not your typical 14-year-old,” Mudd said. “It’s crazy week, we are performing in the Empire State building later today and then we have the Today show tomorrow. There is a lot of hype and excitement around her right now, I think the plan for us is to play shows, meet fans and spread happiness.”
