Joe Biden Not Running for President

Patrick McHugh, News Editor

On Oct. 21, Vice President Joe Biden announced that he will not run for president after months of speculation. He spoke to the media Wednesday, saying that he believed he had ran out of time to launch a viable political campaign against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders. Many believed Biden would have been a counterbalance between Clinton’s questionable past and the far left politics of Sanders. Many speculate the sad and untimely death of Joe Biden’s son, Beau, had an effect on his decision not to run. Some, however, are against Biden running, stating that the Democratic party does not need any more candidates for the presidency. Joe Biden has stated that while he will not run, he will not be silent.
