All students that park in the schools Emerson and Ballas parking lots must purchase a parking pass by Aug. 30. Parking passes can be purchased online and with cash or check. All students with unregistered vehicles will receive a JUG.
“Students register their vehicle, so that we have a record of all the cars that should be in the parking lot,” Dean of Students Peter Lenzini said.
All the money used to buy these passes will be used to line, resurface, and salt the parking lot.
Starting next week Mr. Lenzini and Assistant Dean of Students Mark DeGreeff will walk the parking lot to ensure everyone has their parking passes. They will notify all drivers without passes and penalize them.
All students have been emailed and parents can view the bulletin for the link. Financial assistance will also be available. Students who haven’t purchased a pass can still do so on the school website.
“The bottom line is it is for safety purposes,” Lenzini said. “We need to know the cars that need to be out there.”
