Swimming opens season against Chaminade

De Smet’s Swim team is looking promising with two returning state swimmers. Senior Oliver Nichols qualified for state in both the 50 and 200 free and Senior Owen McMurtrie qualified for the 100 back. Sophomore Michael Pina currently has a 100 Breast time which puts him in state consideration. 

Head Coach and former Chinese Olympic Swimmer Qi Franz and Assistant Coach Taylor Swyers are still leading the team together.

The first meet is Tuesday, August 29 against Chaminade at Chaminade.
