Senior defensive lineman Titan Davis has been selected to participate in the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl. He was presented with the honor by Chief Petty Officer Dustin Supachana in front of classmates and faculty during an all-school assembly on Oct. 3.
“To be an All-American is the greatest accomplishment you could get individually in football,” head football coach John Merrit said. “We’re so excited for Titan to get this award.”
Titan’s a top 100, 4-star recruit committed to play football at Michigan. He contributed to the Spartans state championship run in 2024 in which he finished with 9 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. He was a Missouri Football Coaches Association Class 6 All-State defensive lineman
“It’s a very special feeling,” Titan said. “It’s proven that all the hard work is paying off. I’m gonna just keep working, and listening to coach Poe.”
While the award centered around Titan’s accomplishments, during the assembly he also got to show appreciation for an important teacher in his life. Titan awarded Learning Consultant Linda Doherty with a football.
“I met Titan when he was in the eighth grade looking at De Smet and when you work closely with a student that much, you really get to know them well,” Mrs. Doherty said. “It was a very overwhelming moment in my life, when you get thanked as a teacher it’s pretty cool.”
The Nationwide event honors 100 All-Americans. He will participate in the East vs. West matchup at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas at 12 p.m on Saturday, Jan, 10. The event will air on NBC and Peacock. It has featured 631 draft picks, 274 Pro Bowl selections, and 18 Heisman finalists.
“We’re so excited for our team to be recognized by the United States Navy,” Coach Merritt Said. “It’s an outstanding moment for De Smet Jesuit and De Smet Jesuit football.”
