March Madness 2015

April 9, 2015

In thrilling fashion, Duke took the title with a 68-63 victory over Wisconsin. Duke won its fifth NCAA basketball title, all of which were with Coach Krzyzewski. The Blue Devils finished the game with an impressive 47% from the field and 36% from behind the three point line. Freshman Tyus Jones finished 54% with 23 points, and senior Frank Kaminsky of Wisconsin finished with 44% from the field and 21 points. He also recorded a double-double with his 21 points and 12 rebounds. Duke prevailed even without their big men, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow, who were in foul trouble throughout the game. It was a pure college basketball game with each team only committing five turnovers. The key moment of the game was Jones’ three pointer with 1:24 left, giving Duke an eight point lead. That play practically was the icing on the cake for Duke, essentially winning the game.
