Home Alone is in the top 5 of the best Christmas movies to watch because throughout the film we see a family leave for a Christmas vacation and forget their eight-year-old son behind who thinks his parents are dead and then has fight off burglars from getting into his house. The movie itself generates numerous laughs from the audience by the silly things the kid does to protect himself from the burglars. But the beauty of the movie is that it makes us realize what really matters in life is having a family there for you that protects us from things.
Home alone is also one of the most successful Christmas movies ever, as of a September 2017 review from Statista.com, Home Alone has made the most revenue in U.S. dollars than any other Christmas movie. Home Alone has been out since 1999 and it is a classic that has now been out for nineteen years and is still a movie that people watch for Christmas every year.
