Even though it is early in the season, players are already standing out to be the MVP.

The NBA MVP is up for grabs this year, many players are pushing to be the most valuable player in the league, here are a few that have that chance.

Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks has started the season averaging a career-high of 29.5 points a game (second in the NBA). He also has the ninth-best field goal percentage in the league and is averaging 1.76 blocks per game (5th in the NBA) adding a defensive side to his game. Giannis is leading the Bucks to a 9-9 season and holding the tenth seed in the eastern conference.

Lebron James is leading the 12-7 Cleveland Cavaliers with 8.6 assists per game (4th in the NBA) and his defense is ranked top five in the league at his position. He is averaging 28.5 points per game and the eighth best field goal percentage in the league. The Cavaliers are third in the eastern conference and hope to make their fourth team final in a row.

Kyrie Irving is the new addition to the Celtics roster leading 18-3 start to the season. He is averaging 23 points per game and 5.1 assists per game this season. He leads the Celtics on a 13 game winning streak after losing the first two games of the season.

James Harden and the Rockets have started off to a 15-4 start in the western conference. This season James is leading the NBA in points per game with 31.4 and is also averaging 9.8 assists per game which is leading the NBA. The Rockets are the first seed in the western conference beating out the Golden State Warriors by one game.
