Football gives it their all against the Rock Bridge Bruins

The Spartans hosted the Rock Bridge Bruins on Friday night Aug 25, here’s what happened. The Bruins started the game off with a touchdown in the opening drive to take the lead. The Spartans battled back with a touchdown of their own to tie it up at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter the Spartans lead the Bruins 17-14 from a drive led by quarterback, Nate Martins, and a field goal made by kicker Joey Zarrick. The Bruins also scored a touchdown to add to their score at the end of the second quarter.
Throughout the third quarter the bruins scored 21 unanswered points to take the lead. The quarter finished with the Spartans trailing by 18 points making the score 35 -17.
The Spartans gave it all they had to get back in the game but fell short in the fourth quarter. They ended up falling to the Bruins 45-24. The Spartans will face Ft. Zumwalt West this Friday, Sep 1.
