SIGNING DAY
soccer – DREW NUELLE – Indiana
"I'm super excited. I mainly picked it for the opportunity because I got a good scholarship and I have a good relationship with the coach. I trained hard for two years and then I started looking at schools. I got a couple offers and I felt like Indiana was the best fit for me."
soccer – MATT YANKOWITZ – Truman State
"I chose [Truman State] for the academics first and foremost and they are a growing program, soccer-wise, and I wanted to be a part of it."
football – KYLE BENNETT – Benedictine Illinois
"I picked Benedictine University for the academics and also because its in Chicago and I love being in Chicago. Its a good size for me- not too big, not too small. [The process] was crazy. football – GRIFFIN PALMER – Illinois
"I'm super stoked. I picked Illinois because I really believe in what coach Cubit is going to do with the program and I really wanted to pick a school with a tradition of academic excellence as well as playing at a high level at a school like Illinois who plays in the Big 10."
lacrosse – LEONARD JONES – Lindenwood
"I wasn't closed minded to any choices. I looked at every school that contacted me to try to make the best decision. I was dealing with a lot of schools so I had to go through a process, but eventually I decided on Lindenwood. It was close to home, they offered me the most scholarships and financial support, and they have a really good team."
baseball – ERIK MILLER – Stanford
“When they started contacting me and calling me it was a surreal experience that I might actually get to go there and play. It’s a good combination between the athletics and academics and I have always wanted to go there as a kid. I couldn’t say no.”
golf – JACK KLINGEL – Northern Iowa
"When they told me that they wanted me to play for them I was really excited. I have had my heart set on them for a while. I was really interested in majoring in business and economic finance. In terms of business, UNI is one the best schools in the country. It was a great opportunity for me to be able to go to school there and play golf too.”
