Electronic art’s (EA) sixth edition of the Battlefield game series is set to release on Oct. 10. The game offers both online mode, with large scale compact, various game modes such as conquest, breakthrough, and a battle royale mode, along with story mode, which is set in the year 2027. In its world, the world is on the edge of an all out war after an assassination of a political leader. Most major European countries have left NATO, and the US faces the Pax ARMATA, a private military group with an abundance of resources. The Online mode will feature several maps from all across the world, such as Egypt, Gibraltar, and New York City. A brand new multiplayer game mode, Escalation, has been highly anticipated by much of the fandom, and features two teams fighting to secure control points.
Several new changes intended to enhance users’ gameplay have been instituted, including the new kinesthetic combat system, which was implemented in effort to enhance movement and gunplay. This system offers several new tactical movements such as the ability to drag and revive your teammates when downed and to mount weapons on walls to reduce the recoil. The Beta for Battlefield 6 was already available for the weekends of Aug. 9 and Aug. 14, with it receiving high praise for its immersive, clear, and smooth gameplay.
This game is certainly a must buy for anyone who has engaged in many first person shooter games in the past. However, if you are new to the genre of games, I would recommend sticking with a simpler game, as Battlefield games are commonly known for their skill gap between people and focus on tactical skill to be successful.
